The Start of a New Career
In the blink of an eye, the May Day holiday has passed. Recently, I’ve been organizing my work handover matters, which also serves as a summary of my past. Then I’ve been gradually packing up things at home — moving is really exhausting, with so many things to reorganize and repack. Lately, my evenings after work have all been spent on this.
I arrived at the company early as usual and saw my leader in the cafeteria. I greeted him, and he said he didn’t expect me to come so early on my last day. Speaking of this leader, I really admire him. Although we’re the same age, I’ve learned a lot from him and also recognized many of my own shortcomings.
After breakfast, I returned to my desk. I had already tidied everything up the week before, leaving the desktop completely empty — that’s my style. All that remained was signing the final documents.
Everything was wrapped up and completed before noon. I had wanted to grab lunch with my colleagues, but there were still things to take care of. Tomorrow I’m heading to Shenzhen, so everything felt both ordinary and rushed.
Looking forward to tomorrow, looking forward to Shenzhen, looking forward to a new beginning.
